Cookies
Last updated 12 September 2026
This site sets no cookies. Not necessary ones, not functional ones, not analytics, not advertising. There is no banner to dismiss because there is nothing to consent to.
Why there is nothing here
Most cookie policies are long because the site is doing a lot: measuring visits, remembering preferences, following readers between sites, selling the resulting profile. This site does none of it. It is a set of pages that load, and they work identically whether or not you have ever been here before.
That is not modesty, it is the point. People arrive here in the middle of a fraud, sometimes after being told they are being watched. The last thing a site like this should do is follow them afterwards.
What we do not run
- No analytics of any kind. We do not know how many people read a guide.
- No advertising, no ad network, no remarketing pixel.
- No embedded fonts, icons or scripts loaded from anyone else's server.
- No social media buttons or share widgets, which are trackers by another name.
- No session cookie, because there is nothing to log in to.
How to check that for yourself
Do not take our word for it. Open your browser's developer tools, go to
the Network or Application tab, and load any page on this site. You will
see no Set-Cookie header and nothing stored. Every request
made is to this domain.
The one thing worth knowing: the site is served through Cloudflare, and a network provider can in principle set a cookie of its own for bot filtering. At the time of writing none is being set on any page here. If that ever changes, this page changes with it.
The one exception, and it is not a cookie
The scam checker sends web addresses you paste to a malware-scanning service, so more than 90 security vendors can be checked at once. That is a request, not a cookie, it happens only when you press the button, and the page says so before you paste anything. The privacy page sets out exactly what is sent.
Local storage
Nothing is stored in your browser either. No local storage, no session storage, no database. Close the tab and there is no trace that you were here, which is the behaviour someone being extorted actually needs.
Questions
If you find something on this site that does set a cookie, tell us at scamnextstep@gmail.com and we will either remove it or document it here. Both are better than a policy that is wrong.
